WHO WE ARE
UnBound Arts Collective is a collaboration between womyn, trans, and nonbinary creatives working to share the voices and works of the marginalized, with an emphasis on the intersecting disadvantages faced by black folks, indigenous folks, and people of color globally. We aim our collaborative efforts at the dismantlement of patriarchy, racism, and imperialism through educational and artistic projects both local and global.
To create a deeply informed and highly collaborative network of bright and bold artists, thinkers, and creators, where the voices of womyn, trans, nonbinary, and especially BIPOC individuals can be elevated and supported. To be a community resource and a template for the intersections of artistic creation, activism, and collaboration.
WHAT WE DO
UnBound Zine is an online and free-to-download semiannual publication centering and uplifting the voices and works of marginalized communities, including but not limited to, women, trans, nonbinary, BIPOC, and LGBT+ folks. We publish creative works such as visual art, photography, writing, and more. UnBound believes that freely amplifying marginalized voices through their creative works is an act of rebellion against existing structures and systems of oppression.
Two absolutely feral creatures talk about identity, marginalization, and empowerment in the creative arts community. They probably have rabies.
These conversations are intended to be a resource and safe space for our community of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists and creatives as we navigate the industry and learn to own our carved-out niches.
Global Resource Directory
A directory of submissions deadlines, funding opportunities, residencies, businesses, projects, services, or other resources provided by or for creatives, especially womyn, trans, and nonbinary folks and folks from the BIPOC and Queer/LGBT+ communities. We have compiled this list through our own community relationships, research, and based on community word-of-mouth.
